Zurich Marathon, April 13th 2003
Holger's Results

Ok, this has been my first marathon - official marathon, competition style that is. It was such a great experience that I can only recommend this to everyone.....

In order to monitor performance throughout the run, I decided to wear my heart rate monitor and take lap times on the milestones that were flagged. Milestones were a 1,2,3,5,10,15,20,25,30,35,40,41 and Finish. I didn't catch all of them, but the ones I logged on my monitor you can see below.

My finishing time:

3 hours, 1 minute, 0 seconds and 6 hundreds

The heartrate monitor shows a bit more, as I started it a couple of seconds before I crossed the timing threshold at the starting point.

The information you are about to see contains the following:

  • Overall heart rate graph
  • Tabular statistic of the run, with average heart rate, maximum heart rate, etc...
  • Lap time statistics for the km milestones that I logged.

See for yourself
